Cause of Your Knee Pain

More than half of all back of knee pain is typically due to an overworked musculoskeletal system. This phenomenon can be quite disabling in the daily activity of your life.

You can live a healthy, pain-free life if you just learn how to handle and correct this condition. Most people who have back of knee pain in the hip area will also have knee pain behind the knee. Back of knee pain is generally attributed to spinal problems.

These conditions are referred to as LBP or chronic pain. They are generally characterized by persistent, debilitating pain that does not respond to traditional medications. There is rarely any relief from these pains when you are able to correctly identify the source of the pain.

In most cases the pain that you experience from having LBP can be related to your hips, spine, and the muscles that support your legs. If you feel pain behind your knee, you can probably be certain that your hips, spine, and hamstrings muscles are out of whack. A good way to identify this condition is by doing a back of knee pain test. It is one of the most commonly used tests.

Back of knee pain test is a test that is used to check for inflammation. Normally, inflammation is found on the back of the knee when there is inflammation in the hip and spine. It is a sign that there is trouble in the muscle that is supporting the back of the knee.

When you do a back of knee pain test you will lie on your back with your knees bent at a ninety degree angle. Place a folded towel behind your knee and rest your hands on your hips while keeping your knees bent.

You need to keep yourself from bending or rotating at the knee. Keep the towel between your thighs. The towel acts as a flat surface to prevent the possibility of motion.

After a minute or two of sitting up in a relaxed position, gently touch the inside of your knee with the end of a long thin pencil. The pencil should not actually touch the tissue directly, just give it some pressure.

You should have a few small red dots at the back of your knee, which are signals of your discomfort from having LBP. You should notice that these dots have become larger as the minute passes.

When you do a back of knee pain test, you should note that the dots slowly grow bigger as the minute goes on. Once the dots become much larger, you may notice that they are beginning to rub together, or rub on each other. You should be able to see this on both sides of your knee.

You might have known of homemade remedies and arthritis in pain relief exercises if you suffer from knee pain. They shouldn’t be the sole remedies When these methods can be helpful.

Home remedies and arthritis in knees pain relief exercises are useful, but they aren’t the only remedies. The main thing would be to find a physician. There are a number and not all may be used in the home.

However, the achievement of these treatments will depend on the severity of the problem

If the dots are touching then you would do well to see a doctor immediately. You should never try to apply cold, heat, or ice on your knee to ease the pain behind your knee.

Do not be hesitant to call your doctor, as doing so may help you avoid serious damage to your joints. The doctor may prescribe a pain medication to reduce the pain.
